POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Special Events Coordinator is to support the Special Events and/or Slot Marketing Department with the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all events and promotions. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and property policies, practices and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all events and promotions; coordinates assistance from other departments, such as PBX, Engineering, Sign Shop, etc., as necessary
  • Compose event and promotion-related communications, including guest letters, property wide memos, event fact sheets and all property event and promotion collateral
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors/entertainment to ensure all prerequisites are met during the events and promotions; attend events and serves as the point of contact for any potential issues
  • Create rules for all events and promotions; seek approval from Compliance, Legal and Marketing teams as appropriate
  • Recommend gifts for events/promotions and schedules/prepares gift presentations
  • Process payments for vendors and event/promotion collateral, including creating check requisitions and purchase requisitions for approval and ensure payment is received
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in Special Events or a related field
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting
  • Bilingual
