We are currently looking for a new colleague that will strengthen our analytical method development team, working across our diverse project portfolio.
Ferring + You
At Ferring, you will get the opportunity to contribute with your scientific expertise to our broad pipeline of R&D projects and influence the way forward for analytical method development in the development of current and future therapies. You will predominantly work within protein and antibody projects, but as our project pipeline spans all the way from small molecules and peptides to viral vectors, and recently also includes the microbiome as a therapeutic area, you will also be able to contribute within these modalities and perhaps also expand and develop your own area of expertise.
Your day at Ferring
Your main focus will be on analytical method development and validation from early research through the development phases and all the way to the commercial drug product. You will be responsible to plan, coordinate, execute, report and present your work internally, to CMC project team and management. As part of this you will write and review documents covering e.g. development strategies, protocols, reports, and risk assessments. You will be working in close collaboration with other project members such as formulation and process development scientists, contributing to knowledge and technology transfer across our organization.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Plan, execute, evaluate, and report internal analytical method development work within own area of expertise and according to relevant quality and regulatory guidance.
  • Contribute to short and long-term analytical method development strategies and plans.
  • Plan, support and carry out lab activities both internally in our in-house state-of-the-art laboratories and at contract manufacturers/laboratories.
  • Maintenance, qualification, and calibration of analytical instruments.
  • Keep yourself updated on relevant scientific and regulatory areas and contribute to innovation.

Behind our innovation… There’s you
To be successful in this role we believe that your profile possesses:
  • Solid understanding of analytical method development from a pharmaceutical industrial setting or similar experience from academia, ideally involving work on proteins and antibodies. Experience with other modalities such as small molecules, peptides, vector-based gene therapy and microbiome is an asset.
  • Demonstrated scientific proficiency with separation-based analysis technologies such as chromatography, electrophoretic techniques etc. Experience with general phamacopoeial methods is an asset.
  • Experience in writing scientific, quality, and regulatory documents.
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience from outsourcing of analytical method development and validation activities.
  • Good ability to plan own and others work.
  • Awareness of design of experiments and QbD.
  • Fluency in speaking and writing in English.
