HR Generalist

What we’re looking for:

With a headcount reaching 120 employees, we are looking for a part- time HR Generalist to join our team to support our business. This is a standalone role, based in our offices in Dunmanway, reporting into the Company Directors. This is an exciting new role for an innovative and dynamic person and will give you plenty of opportunity to grow and nurture your HR career. This role will be part of a small team and be exposed to the full employee lifecycle, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, learning and development, employee engagement and employee wellbeing.

The Role and Key Responsibilities:

This is a varied and interesting role where you will be working alongside managers, supporting them in all things people related. This person will work closely with the company senior management and will have a key role in the company’s future planning and decision making.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding – advertising, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Building effective relationships within the business to promote good employee relations and a positive working culture;
  • Management Development –planning, designing and delivering coaching and training to support managers with talent management, culture and team succession planning;
  • Performance Management- Develop and coordinate a Performance Management & Review Process
  • Communications, Retention and Engagement – helping improve team communications and monitor and measure engagement levels. Suggest and implement new initiatives and projects which will improve retention;
  • Act as subject matter expert- coaching managers in managing HR and ER matters in line with legislation and best practice;
  • Employee Relations – Act as a key point of contact in providing advice to managers at all levels on a broad range of HR/ER matters including but not limited to discipline and dismissal; grievance, absence management, performance management, sickness absence and policies;
  • Employment Legislation – keeping up to date with changes and liaise with third parties on legal matters;
  • HR Compliance -Handbooks, Policies and Contracts – auditing, developing and updating as necessary.
  • Payroll- Prepare and input changes to internal payroll documentation in a timely and efficient manner, reflecting any changes that occurred throughout the previous week.
  • Be a point of contact for employees on any HR related queries.
  • Identify opportunities to champion employee wellbeing and engagement.
  • All other job related tasks as requested by Management.

Requirements:

  • 3 + years experience in a previous HR role
  • HR or Business Degree Qualification
  • Membership of the CIPD is desirable
  • Experience in a similar environment would be an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of Irish employment legislation and best practice;
  • Strong, effective communication skills with the ability to partner, coach and challenge at all levels in the business;
  • Excellent attention to detail;

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week

Salary: €20,000.00-€25,000.00 per year
