SAP and the SAP customers are faced with an increasingly complex global environment in which to operate their businesses. This is especially true in the rapidly progressing area of Cloud compliance. The Regulatory Affairs department at SAP Legal is responsible for providing a coherent, consistent, and reliable approach to Cloud compliance at SAP.

You will be a member of the Cloud Standards and Tooling is a solution-oriented team within the SAP Regulatory Affairs department. The team works cross functionally with subject matter experts across SAP who are responsible for achieving Cloud compliance for the SAP operating business and the SAP products. This role will be part of the China Cybersecurity Compliance setup that addresses regulatory requirements that are part of China’s cyber framework, including the China Cybersecurity Law, the Personal Information Protection Law, and the Data Security Law.

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Program Manager, Regulatory Compliance role are to support the overall program management in the China Cybersecurity Law (CCSL) Compliance Program. In this role you will work closely with colleagues in Legal, Security, Data Protection & Export Control, Government Relations, and other compliance and technical functions including Product Development, Cloud Operations, and the Operating Lines of Business to achieve the required regulatory compliance results in a collaborative and constructive manner.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Support overall program management in the China Cyber Security Law (CCSL) Compliance Program.
  • Assist in the management of the overall program, the program budget, and overall project plan.
  • Directly oversee sub-projects and workstreams within the overall program.
  • Orchestrate collaboration across various cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of executive communications.
  • Project manage selected program activities.
  • Ensure that regulatory compliance processes are followed.
  • Help drive priorities and decision making with the program workstreams.
  • Ensure that regulatory compliance topics are addressed, executed, met and escalated in case of conflicts
  • Ensure adherence to the end-to-end regulatory compliance lifecycle
  • Monitor & track compliance related risks as well as resulting remediation measures
  • Maintain a basic knowledge on compliance topics


WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 7 years in a compliance, project delivery, or standards implementation role driving business process and change initiatives
  • Demonstrated expertise in running medium to large change management and/or regulatory compliance programs
  • Proven experience in initiating, engaging with, and managing cross-functional/cross-organization initiatives involving senior stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and team activities
  • Familiarity with regulatory, international standards organizations, and concepts
  • Nice to have, experience and expertise in regulatory compliance in one or more fields of regulations such as data protection, telecommunication, cybersecurity, export control, encryption, mandatory security certification/audit and law enforcement assistance laws.
  • Ability to grasp technical information technology concepts, for the Cloud, mobile, and on-premise, and translate them for legal, regulatory, and compliance subject matter experts
  • Nice to have experience working with regulatory authorities and / or industry special interest groups in China.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent information technology degree
  • OR Graduation from accredited law school with further technical degrees, certifications, or related experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills are required
  • Excellent written Simplified Chinese and spoken Mandarin skills are required
